AMAZING , I MEAN AMAZING CUTE LITTLE SPOT!!! I love how it's decorated inside and honestly not that far drive from the drury plaza riverwalk! Food is okay, but honestly I'm grateful for just being here.

I was looking for a good place for a Mexican breakfast. El Castillo fit the bill. Old school authenticity, atmosphere, great food and friendly and courteous service at a fair price. My Huevos Rancheros with pork chop and Mexican style potatoes was great. Salsa and tortillas made on site and were wonderful

The best part of working downtown again, is finding El Castillo restaurant and being able to enjoy True Authentic Mexican food... Great Service, Great Food and a Great Staff. This place is a gem. Great food here, and you can't go wrong - enchiladas verdes, fideo loco, and their house salsas are all great. Daily lunch specials, too - Friday is fideo loco and it's easily the best version of that I've ever had. Servers are super nice and attentive. If I'm in town for a week I hit this spot for lunch at least twice!
Just a few minute walk from Riverwalk. Casual restaurant with good service. I heard I'm supposed to try puffy tacos while in San Antonio, so that's what I ordered. One chicken and one beef. Much preferred the beef. It was delicious served with refried beans and rice; loved the beans. Served with two sauces on the side. Lots of food. Also served nachos and salsa at the start, the chips were thick and crispy. Salsa a bit spicy. I got a fresh squeezed lemonade and water, both in huge cups. Reasonably priced. I recommend it!
